How to get there
For travellers by train you reach the station of Zermatt from where we will pick up your luggage and bring it to the hotel.
If you arrive by car you must park your car at Täsch, the village before Zermatt . You find parking possibilities at the Matterhorn Terminal right by the train station and you take the train shuttle to Zermatt. Since the new parking terminal has been built the change from car to shuttle is very comfortable and easy even for families with kids and even in bad weather.
Call us 30 minutes before your arrival in Zermatt and we will welcome you at the station to get your luggage. Please consider that you have to reach the last cable car to Furi which leaves depending on season between 5-6pm.
Ski pass and ski rent
At the cable car station Matterhorn Express you can buy your ski passes and also rent your skis at «Dorsaz sport» which you take up to Furi and to the hotel.
You can also buy your ski passes at Furi but from a vending machine only using credit cards.
For children up to 9 years the ski pass is free!
Up to 16- year- old the reduction is 50%, up to 20-year-old you get a reduction of 15%.
Meals
Our returning guests love our restaurant for its regional dishes. Our chef started his career in international kitchens and has various new ideas also what the vegetarian cuisine is concerned. Kids get their special menus and for your events we are happy to create surprise menus for you. Please contact us for special occasions.
The room rate includes halfboard. If you wish to have dinner somewhere else please let us know at breakfast and you will get the amount credited to the bill.
We will be happy to give you restaurant recommendations.
How do I get from the hotel to the village of Zermatt in the evening?
You can take a toboggan and sled down the mountain. The toboggans are at your disposal and you will surely enjoy the ride down under the starry sky. There is also the possibility of taking a taxi down to the village and back to the hotel, 24 hours a day possible.
Ski schools
There are 7 ski schools in Zermatt.
These are the once closest to us offering all wintersport activities:
- Swiss Ski- and Snowboard school (10 minutes from the hotel), lessons for groups and private lessons. Special kids area at Riffelberg.
- Stocked (10 Minutes from the hotel), private and group lessons, special kids area at Schwarzsee.
- Prato Borni, for private lessons only, excellent lessons, no kids area.
Child-friendly Hotel Silvana
We love children and they are very welcome at our hotel. A playground, green meadows in summer and toboggans in winter are nearby. What all kids love ( and we also) are the marmot families who can be observed just in front of the hotel.
Kids can have fun swimming in the indoor pool. Beds and chairs for children are available on request as well as a kids menu at the restaurant.
Dogs
We love dogs and they are allowed in our hotel. Our dog Aura will appreciate to meet new friends.
