Zermatt is car-free since 1931 already. You get by car to Täsch, the neighbour village of Zermatt where you park at the «Matterhorn Terminal Täsch» and get comfortably on the shuttle train to Zermatt.
By car or train you get to Täsch, the last village before Zermatt.
If you arrive by car you need to park the car in Täsch. The change from the parking terminal into the shuttle train is easy and comfortable.
At the station in Zermatt we will pick up your luggage and take it to the Hotel Silvana. The hotel is situated outside the busy village of Zermatt at the quiet and pretty hamlet of «Furi» (first station from the Matterhorn Express cable car).
If you wish you can get right from the breakfast table on your skis to the slopes outside the hotel. In less than a minute you will reach the cable car station of Furi, connecting point to the Riffelberg Express, Matterhorn glacier paradise Klein Matterhorn and Schwarzsee ski areas.
You can reach the hotel and the restaurant Gitz-Gädi all year around by foot in an hour from Zermatt, with the cable car Matterhorn Express in about 15 minutes or you can take an electric taxi (25 minutes).
For your way home in the evening after a nice dinner at our restauraunt there are toboggans at your disposal which will be picked up the next day.
You can also take an electric taxi or walk through the forest down to Zermatt.
